Day 1: Arrival and Acclimatization

Welcome to Ladakh. You'll land at Leh Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Airport, one of the highest operational airports in the world at over 3,500 meters. After transfer to the hotel, the day is kept free for acclimatization.

Day 2: Sham Valley Excursion

After breakfast, drive through the lower western part of Leh, following the Indus River.

  • Sangam, the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers

Day 3: Nubra Valley via Khardung La

Ladakh's contrasts are on full display today as you cross Khardung La into Nubra Valley, with the Zanskar range to the south and the Karakoram range to the north.

Day 4: Nubra to Pangong Lake via the Shyok River

The drive to Pangong Lake takes around six hours, following the Shyok River through dramatic mountain scenery. Pangong stretches roughly 130 km along the India-China border, with about 30% on the Indian side.

Day 5: Pangong to Tso Moriri Lake

Tso Moriri, in the Changthang region, is one of Ladakh's most beautiful and sacred high-altitude lakes, home to a surprising range of flora and fauna.

  • Early morning at leisure by the lake
  • Breakfast at camp
  • Drive towards Tso Moriri
  • The lake is fed by mountain springs and snowmelt

Day 6: Tso Moriri to Leh

Return to Leh via Chumathang, Upshi and Karu, passing several small villages along the way before a stop at Thiksey Monastery.

  • Pass through Chumathang and Himya villages
  • Visit Thiksey Monastery
  • Dinner at hotel

Day 7: Departure

Your Ladakh journey comes to an end today as we bid you farewell.
